He pushed me to be more intentional about how I talk about my experience and gave me concrete steps to prepare for interviews, from tailoring my resume to practicing financial modeling. I also appreciated how candid he was. When I asked about real estate capital markets versus sales and trading, he gave me his honest opinion while being clear about his own perspective. Are there any markets that you think will disproportionately benefit from ESG investment perspective?

In what sense? Obviously affordable and workforce housing will and has been a huge beneficiary of new capital pouring in. Any place that has seen years of underinvestment, especially in older urban core areas, is likely to benefit as tax dollars and private dollars flow to rehabilitating downtrodden neighborhoods/towns. Not that this is ESG, precisely, but programs like the Buffalo Billion will probably be replicated across the country, and that kind of massive investment should lead to higher wages, then rents, then values.
