Excel test
I have an in-person final-round interview with a multifamily real estate lender (construction and bridge lending). I'm not sure if they will run me through an Excel test but I want to be prepared. I have experience from a previous internship running deals through pre-built models (with adjustments/extrapolations, but main model infrastructure was already in place). Where is the best place to learn how to build from scratch?
I would recommend YouTube. BreakintoCRE and A.CRE both have great content on there. Should be enough to get you through an intern Excel test.
Break into CRE on udemy
There's a great intro course, usually on sale for $20 and takes 7-8 hours. Walks you through step by step, would recommend working through that this weekend.
Joshua Kahr has a great series on YouTube
