Expected hours at MSREI, GSAM
Very lucky to get an internship at one of these places, but would like to know what hours should I expect. I’m expecting 55-70 but would appreciate any confirmation.

Depends… Which office? (Even between both is a good amount of difference for certain locations)

Buddy was there last summer (la office), sounded like it was pretty typical to be 12-13 a day, depending on the workload atm
Had a colleague just come from London office. Never out of the office before 11pm, interns were given tasks on the fly if no work after 8pm. Weekend work also common depending on deal flow. I know this isn't USA but given culture in London seems to be "NYC Light" i'd expect at least 65 consistently.

I know this is an old thread but do you think you could talk about how you landed an intership at GSAM (I assume in Real Estate Alternatives) or MSREI, I'm a current sophomore and was hoping to do something similar
GSAM and MSREI both cut their internship programs due to the economy. GS has openings for their affordable housing team but will be extremely competitive to land
