Experience With Walker & Dunlop?

Does anyone have experience with how Walker & Dunlop is? I get that they are a capital markets brokerage. However, I have been unable to get a sense of what compensation is like, work/life balance, and if working there can prepare you for bigger roles elsewhere ? Ex : Working there 2 years then moving onto Acquisitions/Asset Management at a bigger firm. Does W & D do big deals?($15M+) Just for background info, I value a firm that will provide a great learning experience for an analyst while also paying market rate compensation - nothing too crazy but just respectable.

Ok cool...not really expecting to be critiqued on my estimation. Back to my point about big deals...
. Bro. Do you even know. Walker & Dunlop is. The. SHIT.
Everyone who works there is good looking Everyone who works there drives a nice car Everyone who works there makes fucking MONEY And everyone who works there CRUSHES it.
Have you seen all the acquisitions they've made?

$15M is not big deals, the average deal size of agency loan is $20-24M....

Hahaha just came to check on the RE forum and see some things haven’t changed

Also interned there in undergrad. The reputation of the firm in the multifamily space is overwhelmingly positive. Just having their internship on my resume helped me to go straight to a REPE after school. Great firm and big hitters in the agency space. The Newport Beach groups are super solid for debt. I/S is growing but doing well too.

They recently acquired the old AKS/former NYC JLL squad. That team crushes, insane volume. WD seems to be trying to expand, especially in NYC and non agency. I have no experience with W&D besides these guys, which granted are new additions, but def big business, large deals and volume.

Want to say they acquired AKS 6-months ago, but already multiple 100m 500m+ deals. Big numbers now... but likely just the NYC team under these guys.
