Farallon Capital Real Estate Insights

Hi everyone, I can’t seem to find any info about Farallon’s real estate team (comp, culture, hours) anywhere. I only know their fund is ~$650 mil, and team sits out of SF so would appreciate any insights.

Any specifics on how many hours and what does comp look like? Thanks!

They’re hiring an associate now. The recruiter DM’d me. I believe the RE fund is new and they used to just do re deals out of their main hedge fund. Now you can work on more traditional core+ / value add deals (650mm fund) in addition to the distressed / less down the fairway deals of the hedge fund. I work at a similar firm and pay is $250-$300k for associates, I imagine it’s similar.

It’s likely an intense job. Hedge funds aren’t known for being chill places to work
