For Hotel members, how do you distill an ADR if you are only given the RevPAR figure for that unit?
If you were solely given the net room rental amount per month for the unit, how can you solve for or back into what the ADR was for that month?
Thanks.
By net room rental do you mean occupancy? Then revpar/occupancy=adr
Thanks. By net room rental, I mean the amount of daily room revenue the manager was able to bring in for that hotel room for that given month. If you were given the days for the month that it was rented (25 days for September), how would you solve for ADR.
For a single room? I'm not sure I follow, but if you have the days that were rented (25) and the month (Sep), then you have occupancy: 25/30. From the header it sounds like you have RevPar, so all you need is to divide.
Thank you. I forgot to ask - if the net room rental amount [basically RevPAR] is given to you in the total for the month format, what extra step would be required to get the average daily rate (ADR)? Let's assume $15,000 for that month of September.
If you made $15k for a room in Sep, then you made $500/night ($15k/30). If the room was occupied for only 25 nights then you made $600 per.
RevPar: $500
ADR: $600
Occupancy: 83.3%
+1 Thank you!
