Forum Investment Group - Info?

Hi all, I was wondering if any one had any info on Forum Investment Group, specifically their Denver office. I may be interviewing soon for a position in their investments group. Any info/experiences you can share regarding interview process/company/comp/culture, etc. is appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve heard their interview process can be intense but that the culture is pretty good. Not sure about the comp structure but looks like their salary range is posted on LinkedIn

I used to work here (several years ago) - quick takes:

- They have a nice new office in Cherry Creek, much nicer than the old one in Glendale

- Darren Fisk is a CU football guy and has a good connection to HNW in the Denver-Boulder area, and they fly investment people in from around the country for roundtables, so good network

- When I was there, a good amount of entry/mid-level people left within months because they felt overworked and underpaid..I remember checking the website and it seemed like every 6-12 months old faces are gone and replaced with new ones

- Like many GPs, it helps to buddy up to the guys in charge, and there are some good genuine ones like Kevin

- Strategy can be all over the place, it seems like every couple years they are advertising a new "GP" or "LP" or "equity provider" or "mezz provider" position. They are currently big on providing capital for multifamily, but can also develop.

- They are in good growth markets in the Mountain West and Southwest and I think have expanded beyond this.

In general, I would try to get good clarity on your role and how it fits in company strategy, and get to know your direct boss..some groups were more burnt out than others.

What were the hours for the different groups when you were there?

Asset Management team (handling management of multifamily holdings across the country) worked probably 45 hours per week, construction and finance teams perhaps closer to 40..then investor relations and capital raising was and looks like continues to be a big deal so they could probably get up to 50 certain weeks..I’m a few years removed though so things could have shifted
