Getting experience in CRE in Asia

Hi monkeys, currently in one of the Asian countries that have COVID-19 under control and therefore no lockdown over here. Our school is moving to online classes and I was wondering if right now would be a good time to get some informal work experience or shadowing for a couple weeks to a month and if you think brokerage firms would be open to it. Perhaps not in the immediate future but maybe in May or June.

Also wondering if you need the local language to work in real estate here. Would I be in a huge disadvantage if I don't speak any foreign languages? Are people receptive to cold emails? I have one very short work shadowing in RE before but also other finance-related internships.
