Harrison Street Real Estate Excel Test

Hi,

I passed the initial interview stage and they now want me to do a 1 hour excel test. Can anyone give me some guidance for what to expect/ prepare for? I have not done too much modelling previously, but I know basic formulas.
This is for an internship role fyi.

Appreciate any help!

- Read this thread 3x and try to model out the scenarios mentioned as a baseline in excel.

- Add in A.CRE’s Youtube videos walking you through his modeling tests. Spencer Burton and Co. are top notch.

- Check out Josh Kahr’s YouTube as well since I recall that he added some mock test stuff to his site and has been very generously walking folks through some of them over the past year.

But would you be able to confirm it’s nature? Like the type of task that will be assigned, is it building a model or sth else?

Sorry if I’m asking for too much, just want to go into with as much info as possible given i’ve never been asked to do any sort of excel test under timed conditions. Certainly did not expect it for an SA role.

Thanks again!
