Has anyone successfully made the jump from commercial real estate investment to private equity?
Just want the title is, has anybody successfully made the jump from commercial real estate to private equity?
I’m a non-target, minimal pedigree who worked my way into commercial real estate to a prestigious firm. I have roughly 12 years experience, investing up and down the capital stack as a GP, an LP and OpCo transactions.  I’d really love to make a pivot into private equity. How practical is this??
