How difficult is the move into Luxury Hotel REPE from other asset classes?

Currently at a $20-30bn AUM REPE firm (latest fund size ~1-2bn). Invests 75% in Multifamily and Industrial with some investments in retail and office in the past.

I’m really interested in the luxury hotel space and am doing courses on the side and networking with people in the industry.

How hard is the move into luxury hotels at the Analyst/Associate level considering I don't have any deal experience in hotels and how different it is from the other asset classes? What are some of the firms I should aim for if the move is possible?
