How do I use the P/E side of my company to help with brokerage?

I work for a P/E company that has a brokerage arm. I wear different hats and do analysis for both sides and now they want me to start sourcing deals. I was wondering if I could use the institutional side to my advantage or if it would be a conflict of interest. I was thinking I could do something along the lines of having my company sign an LOI to review the property, then using all the information from the due diligence process I can match the property with another investor. They already review almost every listing brokerage pulls in that fits a broad criteria and sometimes will bid. If you have any other ideas for ways I can use the acquisition side of our company to broker deals outside of the company I'd love to hear them.

I may be misunderstanding your proposition, but what does the seller get in return? Sounds like you're thinking along the lines of contract assignment.

By DD I think he means the initial marketing material. Hes talking about getting access to the OM from his acquisition guys and then calling other RE groups pitching the property as a buyers rep.

For OP's edification this is not a novel idea and would also result in your company breaking the NDA it signed to get the OM. Many brokers/deals allow buyer reps to sign NDA's for marketing info so its not like you need your equity side to help on that front

 

I'm sorry if I'm not making complete sense here, but I would be the acquisitions guy and I would be sourcing the deal off market. If we don't reach a PSA can I represent a different buyer for the same property? I wouldn't share any non-public information, except that the property owner is willing to sell, to a select few qualified investors. Would this still be breaking the NDA?
