How to answer REPE Analyst Question

If you were asked in an interview: “Assume you have a deal come across your desk, how would you go about determining if it’s worth pursuing?” - how and what is the right way to answer this?

I’m not in acquisitions but would assume the first few things would be making sure the offering fits the parameters of the fund: check size, geography, property type, risk profile (value add, opportunistic, core plus, etc), and then if those match up you’d do an initial underwriting. Would be curious to hear more answers to this from others.
