How to be more polished?

I'm currently going through interviews for private equity firms and have noticed that everyone is extremely well presented and polished. How can I emulate that myself? I have good experience in the industry, but generally ramble off answers during interviews.

What can I do that will make me more well-presented & polished?

Thanks!

Being physically polished comes from style which you can easily learn online. Being verbally polished is more to do with the ability to express yourself well. Hang around with the people you look up to for this and learn by osmosis. Additionally, be sure to read a good mixture of fiction and non-fiction books to expand your vocabulary. No need to go overboard with mock interviews and such.

A lot of it is just experience in the industry and learning the verbiage, how people talk about deals, etc., it comes with time and as you build confidenec.

A personal tip from me would be to focus on being yourself. Having a big vocabulary is great but overdoing it and sounding pompous is just annoying to most people. God knows a lot of the REPE guys in my market are guilty of this (throwing out buzzwords left and right to try and sound smart).
