Howard Lorber - NYC Real Estate, Vector Group/New Valley/Douglas Eliman

Hey guys, was curious from a NYC RE perspective how successful is he? I saw he had a few real estate investment groups outside Douglas eliman but seems they are not very active at all. New Valley RE seems to do LP investments but has not had anything new for at least a few years and it says online invested $115 million since 1994. Also he has Vector group which seems to own a tabacco company.

How successful would you say his businesses are if you are in the NYC area? Obviously douglas eliman is a premiere brand but seems he doesn't have much outside of that in terms of activity. He seems to be a staple of NYC real estate and very well respected so I was curious.
