Information on Eastdil Secured Analyst hours/comp and its culture/reputation in the UK.

Hello fellow primates,

Have just been invited to interview for an Eastdil Analyst position in the London office and I am seeking the standard comp/hours/exit opps info for this branch. I understand they are new to the UK so there might not be many of you out there with direct/indirect experience, however examples from US offices would be extremely helpful.

Bit of background: New entrants to the UK RE market however they have repeatedly worked on landmark deals (Broadgate Stake Sale), im assuming based on their strong relationship with BX etc from their US dealings. Michael Cochran and James McCaffrey run the london office, originally from NY and Boston respectively. Apparently they exclusively work on asset/portfolio sales and debt sourcing in London.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Coming from one of the associates I spoke to in the U.S. they work about 14-15 hour weekdays, with another 5-10 on weekends. This may not be true for every team, but I would assume it is 75+ in general. The hours are a lot but again, the exit ops are plentiful and many of their analysts land great gigs afterwards if they choose to leave.

I met with them last week and was told I would on average leave the office at 1am and that at times it can go as far as 100 hours a week. Seems that most of the analysts are from Cambridge Mphil in Real Estate Finance and are very smart guys.

I'd be curious to hear more on the exit opportunities, where are people going to?
