Institutional Across the Board?

Is institutional investment sales looked at the same across the brokerages? Like, could institutional IS as an analyst at CBRE provided the same connections and exits doing the same at a regional brokerage? What if the lead broker came from a CBRE/JLL to a smaller tier firm, but still has that institutional rolodex and has been closing?

I feel like $100MM+ deals are $100MM+ deals regardless of the firm since it's really lead broker dependent. Curious to hear everyone's thoughts.

Everything is team dependent. If your team lead crushed it a CBRE and now went to IPA or something, your team lead is still crushing, just with a different firm and probably a better pay structure. An analyst on an institutional team, regardless of firm name, will have exit ops, 100% guaranteed. Where do you think REPE firms poach from besides IB?
