Interest Rates Will Continue to Be Raised, Not Lowered.
How will this effect the multifamily real estate market as a whole?
Will prices react or have we shrank as far as we will shrink?
Anything is better than this standstill (for non equity holding employees.) Please get us out of this hell before we're all unemployed, thanks.
What is the time horizon being polled?
Good point, i'll edit it.
If trump wins, maybe the fed raises rates and actually try to hit 2% inflation target . Fed is itching to cut but unfortunately the data isn't giving them cover. If UE rises that should give them cover to cut. Feel like 3% inflation is the new 2% inflation, wouldnt be surprised to see Fed capitulate and admit this. If inflation expectations are higher going forward could see long bonds stay here or rise. 10 Yr prob should be closer to 5-5.5% right now.
Wall Street is itching for a cut. The FED doesn't care either way.
I think the fed rate will stay pretty much the same for the next 12 months. It's important to remember though that the 10 year doesn't exactly follow the fed fund rate and in "normal" times the 10 year is higher.
