Intern to Full Time, what to do?
I’m currently working as an acquisitions intern. They said they would test me out for 2 months and then bring me on full time if they thought I was good. It’s now the 3rd month and they haven’t said anything about it. This is actually a really good position and the work we are doing is exactly what I want to do. I’m getting paid minimum wage and I feel like I’m broke. Cant pay bills. My main concern is they use me for few more months and then let me go. They even recently brought on an analyst who I believe is getting paid. I’m jealous and scared. Do you think I’m overreacting or what should I do?
Ask those motherfuckers.
seems like they're finessing you for cheap labor. If you're doing well in your role, then you should schedule a 1:1 meeting with your boss and ask them whats good with you getting a real salary
Came here to say this. I think you need to have that uncomfortable conversation and be clear about your expectations. You were promised an answer in 2 months and are now at the 3 month mark. Have they made a decision, and if not, why?
