Been applying for months and networking to get my next role.
There is a role at a firm that is perfect for me (5 yoe, and the JD matches perfectly). It was posted a month ago. I asked someone in my network if they can connect me to the direct report of the role -- and they did. The person said they would love to talk to me after seeing my resume. Fast forward ~30 days and 3-4 follow ups, and I have not yet gotten a response from that intro email.
I applied through the portal with 0 luck as well. The LinkedIn only has ~50 people as 'applied', and the company keeps reposting the role with only 20-30 people 'applying'.
Reached out to 2 other people in my network who have a strong relationship with the direct report and they pinged the person to answer -- and still no response.
Total silence from the recruiters that are posting / reposting the role on LinkedIn.
At what point is this market just a psyop?
