International CRE: Acquisitions/Development
After lurking for a few weeks, I've noticed that this forum focuses on U.S. based companies and markets. Beyond foreign capital in the U.S., has anyone had exposure to cross-border real estate transactions or development? Does cross-border capital in the CRE market tend to move through HF/REPE who then get players like JLL/CBRE to contract out to local developers in the foreign markets?
I am new to this, so excuse the lack of specificity. In short, I'm wondering if anyone might be able lend some perspective to how the RE market, all aspects of it, works across borders. Much obliged to your responses.
