Interview Process

WSO,

Recently went through the interview process for BB for CRE AM role. Literally went through 3 rounds in less than 12 days. Definitely felt like all the interviews went well. It’s been a month since I’ve heard from the company. I find it a little odd to rush me along the process to not have decision. Am I wrong for thinking this is odd? Or is this standard practice for BBs? At this point I kinda feel like they just interview me to check a box that they interviewed “diverse” candidates. Looking for insight for those of you that have worked at BBs.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it's not unusual at all for big companies that run competitive processes to have you go through several rounds and then ghost you if they don't want to move on with you. Really annoying from a candidates perspective but it is what it is. I've wondered in the past if it's an HR policy for some places not to follow up to cover for any liability issues but idk.

If it was just to check the boxes on diversity I doubt they would have gone 3 rounds when they could have accomplished that in 1.

Definitely follow up if you haven't already.

Definitely followed up but radio silence. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it’s the beginning of the year but now it’s like WTF. Finished interview process 6 days before Christmas. Oh well….On to the next!

As mentioned above, it is super common. In many instances, they've made an offer to a candidate and do not notify the rest of their rejections until he/she signs or even joins the firm. Id say rule of thumb is 2 weeks without updates after more than 2 rounds.
