Bit pointless without knowing what the $X is.

For instance, "I would buy all of London" would be an acceptable answer.

I'd hardly think that would be an acceptable answer though, it shows you didn't quite grasp the purpose of the question. A more acceptable answer would be something like "I'd buy warehouses in a Central European country such as Germany because I think they might benefit from growth in e-commerce" ..

The question was a bit contrived to begin with. "You have X million. Pick two countries to invest in but one has to be in Europe."

Uh...single wide trailers in France. All in.
