IRA Capital insight?
Hi all. I wasn't able to find any threads on this company, so here goes. Does anybody have any insight into IRA Capital, based out of Irvine, California? Five partners, heavy into medical office investment, seem to use a variety of disparate capital sources for their equity. Lots of growth in the past five years.
Appreciate any thoughts you kind folks can share, either from an employee's perspective or as a transactional counterpart. Culture seems a little hectic from what I can tell, but also seems like they take care of their own and people tend to stick around. All perspectives welcome and encouraged.
Cheers.
Interviewed there a few years ago. One of the VP’s I interviewed with was such a jackass that I actually withdrew myself from the process. No idea if he’s still there or not but that interaction coupled with the fact that they seem to always be hiring for associates doesn’t come across as ideal.
Can you elaborate?
That sucks man. Thanks for sharing your experience. What kind of things did they say to you during the interview?
There’s only one specific I can really remember but I was asked the question “how do you go about sourcing lease comps” and I gave the answer of, “CoStar, internal databases and contacting leasing brokers, etc.” I was then grilled for the next 5 minutes because I didn’t say “whatever it takes” and was told I should have said google and that they need someone who is scrappy to find data when others can’t.
Dude was honestly just looking for an excuse to play bad cop and was latching on to anything he could.
LOL dude that's absurd. Sounds like you dodged a bullet. Never heard of using google for lease comps....
