I guess it depends on who you are and how many deals your working on at a given time. I’m an analyst and often am juggling upwards of 10 deals that vary in organization in terms of the associated process.

The expectation where I work is that everything goes into DC and I find the interface and input process to be tedious and a waste of time in terms of doing work that actually matters and will move deals to the finish line.

We’ll often send out offers that don’t go anywhere and inputting these deals and offers into the system is something that always gets done after the fact. I find it most useful for simply having a list of everything I’m working on but that could be done in google sheets just as easily

Thanks, I had a feeling it wasn't going to add enough value for the amount of additional work created, especially for the analysts.

Deal tracking tool for managing pipelines and relationships.  Probably similar to salesforce, though I've never used Salesforce before.   My buddy on the private credit side uses it a lot.
