Is it too soon to leave my job?

Out of college, I worked as an asset management analyst for 1 1/2 years and always planned to transition to development because it peaked my interest more. I found a small development company in a place I didn't necessarily want to live in but I toughed it out for the experience. It has now been 1 1/2 years at this development company and I am about to get my bonus and my lease is going to be up soon (Airbnb for a couple months). I like the people that work at my company mostly but I am seriously sick of this town.

Is it too soon to search for a development job in a place where I want to live or do I need more time to not be seen as a job hopper?
