KPMG - Real Estate Valuation Associate
What exit opps would be reasonable for a position at KPMG as a Real Estate Valuation Associate? Goal is to eventually be in REPE. Thanks in advance.

Are you in this job rn? How much do you make and are you in a primary market?
No I am not at this job currently. I currently work in valuation/appraisal at large brokerage (CB, NKF, JLL, CW).
Why do you want to work there? Isn’t the job really similar? Also how much do you make now working at that shop.
I am just interested in how valuation at a KPMG differs from a brokerage and which one has better exit opps. Valuation/Appraisal jobs at these brokerage houses pay pretty low my guess is 45k - 60k base in most markets (I was at 50k my first year and in TierB market, but have heard some firms offering less). I am currently not on salary and been strictly on a commission.
If you are at a large brokerage, it would be somewhat of a similar role at a KPMG. You can make a jump from where you are at, to the principal side. Going to KPMG would seem like a lateral position.
I was in a similar position as you and was able to make the transition.
Thanks for the advice!
