Lateral from REPE Asset Management to Acquisitions or REIB

Hey WSO,

I'm 8 months into my first job out of undergrad, working in Asset Management for a multifamily REPE firm (~4Bn AUM). I'm trying to game plan my next move (won't be for another 10+ months) but I'm looking to get into acquisitions. Moving internally seems to be off the table, the shop runs very lean and I don't think it would go over well. While i'm confident I could get into an acquisitions group with another smaller shop, I'm looking to join a "megafund".

Is the best route to make this change through networking, trying for roles with Eastdil/JLL/CB Investment Sales or REIB? While i'm not looking to grind 80+ hours per week, the exit ops do seem attractive from REIB.

Thank you for all your help throughout the years,

P
