I’ve been on the Originations team at a LIHTC syndicator for 7+ years now and have been supporting the established originators by running their models, drafting LOIs, and preparing internal memos, etc.
I continue to support all the originators, but I’ve started to originate my own deals (no analyst/associate help) that have amounted to ~$50MM in lower tier equity this year.
I recently had a conversation with my boss that acknowledged that success this year and asked what I thought my bonus should be. I didn’t give a number, fearing I would low-ball myself.
Any idea what kind of comp/bonus that production should warrant?
