Does anyone happen to have a PDF version of the Finance and Investments textbook from Linneman? Looking to reference the book and don’t want to pay full price. Thanks!

I think it’s a pretty great resource. Touches on really on really everything and is like ~400 pages. Some things are irrelevant like there’s a whole section on ethics and another on international real estate. Also if you buy the $175 version there’s an online component with audio and other exercises
Personally don’t think it’ll help you on the day to day job. It’s a fairly technical book and covers a bunch of topics and touches on them, but doesn’t touch on all of them extremely in depth. But obviously covers alot of REPE topics in depth. Experience always trumps a textbook. It’s good for analysts and good for filling in some blanks for more experienced people. Also good for experienced people who have zero knowledge on certain topics (for example CMBS execution) and want to get a baseline of knowledge to build upon
Also want to say it’s worth the money. I hate to be that guy, but $175 is really nothing to invest into your career. People go to the bar and spend $150-200 every single weekend in NYC. Spending that on a textbook is easy money every time. Even subtle things make a difference in the way you look at and understand a deal.

Buy the actual book and you will have it as a desk resource forever. It is worth it.
I agree. You’d be surprised at how many people don’t want to commit $150-$175 to it though.

How did you guys get it in the PDF format? Some time ago I reached out to the publisher (Linneman) directly, but they said the textbook is available only in a printed format.
Idk who else got it but I scanned my own book and PDF’d it. Pretty easy just takes some time
