List of MM REPE in New York or LA?

Does anyone have a list of REPE firms that are not the top of the market like The Carlyle Group, Blackstone,...etc

I really want to end up at one of those top firms, but if I am not able to secure a position at them I am looking for firms to target as fall backs so I can join them and then eventually transition to the big boys.

Any and all information would be really helpful.

Agreed - this is a great baseline for those markets. Secondly, would then research all those companies on LinkedIn (you'll pick up a lot of similar companies via research). Lastly, I would look at different periodicals that show transactions (a lot of deals are still done with local shops).

There is some good advice above that I am going to use myself. I have been trying to put together a list of REPE companies in my market as well. One thing that has helped is reading the local business journal. I have picked up a few companies that way by reading which companies are investing in certain deals. They also have a list for sale but I am too cheap to spend 20 on it.

Are you in LA? I’ll go half in with you for the list.

Thanks for all the valuable info, really appreciate it.

I’m at a small development firm right now, what can I do to maximize my chances of getting to a reputable REPE?

I found a list for Los Angeles! I just googled "list of real estate private equity filetype:pdf". Hopefully others can find a list for their cities.

EDIT: These are private equity firms that may or may not have RE arms.
