1). What is a your "low" GPA? 2). Do you have any CRE experience? 3). What kind of firms are you targeting (there is a big difference in getting a job at Eastdil vs. Marcus and Millichap)?
An overwhelming majority of the people working in RE got there because of networking. To that end, most are filled by family/friend connections or internal promotions. You have to keep in mind that posting the job online is a) required as the company is publicly traded b) required by EEOA.
You need to focus on your network. You're GPA becomes significantly less important (meaningless?) if the person hiring you trusts you and knows that you're capable of doing the job.
Anecdote: I've never been hired for a job through online application. In fact, I've MAYBE submitted 1 or 2 online apps in my life.

My GPA is a 2.8. I have no CRE experience and think JLL/CushWake/CBRE.

I would leave the GPA off, network and try to beef up your resume (get argus certified, join real estate groups like ULI, etc).
What type of investment are you planning on focusing on?
