I interviewed with them beginning of 2022 for an investment analyst position. The position was 50% acquisition and 50% advisory.  They run an evergreen fund backed by pension investors that focuses on self-storage, student housing, and annuity grade logistics. Basically long term outlook with plans to hold indefinitely. Double-edged sword because the thesis is to buy assets that are accretive to the annual dividend which can mean lower transaction volume if you're starting out. The advisory arm is pretty new, established a year or two ago but very successful. Much like the Evercore RECA team. They emphasized this side of the business was fee generating so a volume game. Pretty successful at the time but no idea atm, probably still killing it.

Salary quoted was GBP 60k plus a bonus ranging in 50%+, essentially you're comped 100+. They wouldn't give a number but made it clear it was significant so I am sure it is inline with other pere salaries. Can't really comment on WLB as I've forgotten but I remember the advisory guys were doing some late nights to match the volume they were doing. Take that with a grain of salt though, don't remember that part.

Honestly, M3 is the end goal. Everyone seemed really smart and they have high retention. I am sure if you wanted to lateral you could, you could definitely lateral into evercore reca if you came from the advisory side, but since their retention is high I don't see any examples of this yet.

I'll write out my interview process in case this is also being question. It was three interviews, first and last with people and the second modeling. First interview was with the senior analyst, associate, and one of the founders. Typical real estate questions, whats the market look like, where do you think it will go, run us through a deal you've done, etc. No brain teasers or on-spot maths. The modeling test is two part. The first is a straight-forward excel test with their model that's half populated. You fill in the appropriate information and have to calculate NPV and present some analysis on the case. The second part is an economics question with messy data which you have to clean and then present in a short powerpoint. My ppt skills are garbage so this is where I was dinged (might have turned it in late to try fix a graph :D). The third interview was defending my work and then an interview with the other founder. Ultimately was given the no but I only have good things to say for the company. Would definitely interview if you have the chance.

They seemed like a solid group that has some serious backing. Plus they are a lean team that promotes internally, good shop.
