Made a mistake on an excel prompt
Recently took a modeling test that also had some excel prompts and Argus prompts on different tabs.. aced the model but I think I made a mistake on 1/10 of the prompts on the separate tab. Am I likely dinged? This is an acquisitions role and I’m currently in acquisitions at a different firm. I’ve never interviewed someone so not sure how the team is looking at this from their perspective.
None of us can really give you an answer. We don’t know if the firm is scoring on how many you got correct, or just can you show you can use excel and Argus. So maybe you’re not dinged and maybe you’re dinged. The only way to know is if you do or do not get a call back.
As pudding said, no way to know. Honestly, it more than likely depends on how other candidates performed and if 1 mistake is a make or break thing for the company.

No way to know but just finished an Excel test for a similar role, they said before try your best it's a hard test for the time limit. I 100% didn't finish one of the return questions and messed up a sensitivity table but showed that I knew it and got through. I've had acquisitions interviews where I crushed the modeling test, like they literally told me I did very well on it (again I got more than 1 response completely wrong but tried) and they were impressed with what I did in the time limit and got the follow up interview so you never know.
