Interested as well.

See they posted an Analyst gig for NYC IS. Asking 2-4 yrs experience, email models, and Argus test given.

Why do these brokerage shops ask for such crazy experience for Analyst role?

They ask for the experience because they can get it. Also they are constantly doing BOV's and modeling properties they are trying to sell. They want someone who can do the work correct the first time and not need to worry. Brokerage is a business on commissions and it is about selling for your clients - the less areas a broker can screw up the process the more likely it is the broker makes money.

Pudding is 100% correct. Plus if the salary is 75-99k (searched the position) then they are paying for that turn-key/set it and forget it type of experience.

Any more comments on their IS? Seems the majority is on their cap mkts, looking for IS broker insight if possible.
