Microsoft AI implications for CRE?
Incoming analyst here, just saw Microsoft's video on GPT4 integration and the new "copilot" AI assistant. Although CRE is more relationship and experience-focused, do you guys think that these developments will affect the career trajectories and prospects of junior employees in the industry? Seems like it will, in the long run, reduce the need for analysts since work can probably be done 2x as fast.
Curious to hear from those with a better grasp of the industry.
I haven't seen the integration video you're mentioning, but my understanding is GPT's output ability is largely driven by the quality of the prompt you put into it. For now, someone still needs to be in the driver's seat to get the most use out of it. I think eventually this develops into a more efficient SaaS product, but before that happens this looks like a skill you could learn and probably market yourself for in the short term.
