GM building. Anything in Hudson yards is not prestigious
Agreed. Hudson Yards is just pure overrated basura.
Your mom's bedroom
Solow building
I feel like they’re two different things. Coolest office will not be most prestigious.
most prestigious I’d say maybe 1 Vanderbilt?
Coolest?
KKR, DB, new JPM building
Worked out of Hudson Yards. I can tell you it’s super overhyped. Very nice views but hard to get to and you’ll be disconnected from friends and colleagues in industry. Therefore, making it tough to network and maybe even switch companies. Also, there aren’t really any post-work activities. Place turns into a ghost town after 6-7.
KKR is ridiculously nice from an office visit I had there
I’d say One World Trade is a prestigious global address, as are many buildings on Park Avenue which is synonymous with generational wealth and nyc finance. Several historic and iconic buildings like 30 Rock could count as prestigious imo.
Some of the Class A/A+ office spaces in Meatpacking are sick. Location is unbeatable in my opinion from a work/play perspective. Also a lot of assets are adaptive reuse projects that have character, but also the amenities/niceties of a modern office building.
For the architectural history and significance, 550 Madison, the Seagram Building, Chrysler Building. Honorable mention for the Citigroup Center which could have taken out multiple city blocks if it fell over before the fixed it.
One Vanderbilt pulls the highest rent psf in the city by a wide margin. Next would be anything on Park Ave followed by Madison Ave. Few boutique buildings in Meatpacking pull crazy rents too.
No one wants to work in Chrysler building / empire state building because ceilings are low and interiors are dated + no / few amenities. GM building is OK purely because it is on top of Grand Central but still not close to highest rents or nicest interior.
