Tbf there are some small players buying office buildings for pennies on the dollar right now. Too much risk and uncertainty for any big guys to justify it, but where there's risk there can be $.
Oakland is a hell hole that institutional office investors won’t touch again for a long time. Too many systemic political and quality of life issues and terrible market fundamentals that don’t allow groups to look the other way.
