Northmarq Capital?

Howdy!

Doing some research on D/E shops and was interested if anyone has any insight on their Dallas D/E office. Don't know much about the firm in general either but I see their name come up a lot in various news sources. Would appreciate any insight. Thanks!

Dallas office is the biggest office outside of Minneapolis. They have some really strong debt and jv equity brokers there like Jeff erxleben and Lauren bresky. Taylor snoddy is probably one of the best multi family IS brokers in the country. I would bet that the bench is not very deep after that group and their support staff, but overall good company, good corporate culture, good WLB, not top top pay but you can definitely do well.

I would think that the top performers at NorthMarq make as much as the top performers at any other capital markets shop(excl. Eastdil) but would guess the average is lower. NorthMarq is more middle market than JLL in Dallas for sure.

I interviewed with them for Chicago office last year, seemed like a good company with good culture. Know they are working on bringing more investment sales to their more established D / E business, and did so at their DC office this past December (think they poached a Walker & Dunlop team?). Can't give you much more pointed information as I'm sure culture is different dependent on office / region; will say that the guy who would've been my direct colleague on team has loved his time there.
