correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't the whole notion of "off cycle" recruiting is that occurs on an ad hoc basis firm by firm, group by group. Like whenever someone is needed and they aren't going for a new candidate/graduate class with synched start date? So, is there really a "kick off" for this?

Personally, I think there is no one answer for this... every firm just does what they need to when they need to.

Thanks, and you're right. I've had opportunities all across the board sent to me except RE, and was wondering if they usually recruit later or if none of the opportunities are being sent my way.

I have, for several of the ones you mentioned. Problem is I don't come from a traditional RE background so am not sure if I'm being passed for candidates that do (which seems to be the case if there really are a lot of opps available now). I've been getting interviews for basically everything, just not RE which has been my focus haha.
