Off cycle recruiting

Given the relative lack of information on the PE forum, I want to ask here: has PERE off cycle recruiting kicked off yet? As far as I know all the MFs recruited on cycle, but curious to know where most other RE processes stand.

correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't the whole notion of "off cycle" recruiting is that occurs on an ad hoc basis firm by firm, group by group. Like whenever someone is needed and they aren't going for a new candidate/graduate class with synched start date? So, is there really a "kick off" for this?

Personally, I think there is no one answer for this... every firm just does what they need to when they need to.
