Portfolio Management strategy/transaction exposure on the analyst/associate level?
I see Ares has a RE PM role open where one bullet says "review annual asset plans and assess strategy; provide strategic input into major decisions," and "support transaction analysis and execution, including detailed hold/sell analyses, buyouts, financings, and re-financings," which seems to be very FO/ownership of decision-making, especially on the analyst level. Do you think this type of role would really give that much exposure on the analyst level? From other posts on WSO, it seems that PM is more of a reporting-focused rather than strategy in early career. Curious if anyone can provide insight.
