Can somebody please shed some light on the excel test and opinion essay for a mid to senior level CMBS opportunity at Fitch ratings. Been a while since taking any exams. Although have built models for cash flows, seem a little anxious on the format of the test and opinion essay..
Any pointers and support would be much appreciated.

Had an interview with KBRA last summer and had to take a test.
I would assume they will give you a data stratification test and tell you to use certain formulas. Like they will give you a large set of property data and they will ask you to find certain points only using functions like Index, Match, IF statements, etc. It's not too hard if you are capable in Excel.

I’m on a CRA cmbs team. I would expect it to be basic excel functions, possible CF model. the essay is usually based on some event and how that impacts credit ratings/credit.
