RE Acquisitions Day to Day
I’ve done a few searches on here but came up short. Looking for insight on the primary responsibilities of an acquisitions associate. A few questions top of mind.
How much of your time is actually spent on sourcing? What does this look like? Meeting with brokers, calling owners, etc.
How detailed do you get in initial underwriting and how long does it typically take you to run a first cut analysis? Are you bringing every deal to the partners / head of acquisitions to let them decide or do you not even bother with the obviously dead deals?
What are your other responsibilities at the firm? If any, how much of your time is allocated to these non-acquisition focused responsibilities?
Thanks
