I am currently heading into my final year of undergrad and an opportunity arose to work for a Real Estate llc. The position would involve analysis of the performance of the properties in the portfolio and some capital project evaluation. Would this be good experience to eventually transition to something in the REPE or RE Asset Management realm?

It sounds like you are literally interviewing for an asset management role, so yes, that would be good experience for an asset management roll and it is theoretically possible to transition to an acquisitions role at some point.
