RE Developers in Atlanta?

Is anyone familiar with Atlanta's major players in commercial and mixed-use development? I'm hoping to make a move from a well-known boutique investment bank to a real estate development firm. I would prefer to be in Atlanta due to personal circumstances.

For MF (in no particular order and most of these guys have in-town sites and have done mixed use):

Wood Partners Novare Pollack Shores North American Properties (heavy mix use) TCR Mill Creek (partners with Fuqua on stuff here he is local) Alliance Residential Post Properties AMLI Camden Paces Properties Perennial Properties Carter Daniel Atlantic Realty Oliver McMillan (based in San Diego, but huge phase II in ATL) Gables Terwilliger Pappas

More mixed use with an office component

Cousins Hines Regent Partners Daniel (MetLife) Crocker Hanover The Brookdale Group

I'm sure I am missing a lot of players, but that is probably a pretty good list to start off with.

Krog Street is an awesome project, and their redevelopment of the old Parmalat site on Memorial should be similarly fantastic. They just converted an old office building to MF at 250 Piedmont that they should realize a phenomenal return on. Also buying up a huge swath of East Atlanta Village that could be a huge difference maker in what is already one of Atlanta's hottest resi markets.

NAP, the job they did retennanting Atlantic Station with CBREI is pretty spectacular. They bought the thing out of bankruptcy and now GE is looking at it for its corporate HQ and Hines is building spec office there not to mention several new MF properties, it is pretty amazing. I like the Avalon deal, and the concept of bringing intown restaurants and more 'urban' living to the suburbs was pretty spot on if you look at the rents they are getting out there and the SF home prices next door have been outrageous. Phase II of Avalon will be interesting to watch. Mark Toro the managing partner there is a little bit of an egotist, but the man knows what he is doing and knows what sells.

PM me if you want more details on Atlanta people. I just moved away sadly, but their is a lot going on and you shouldn't have any trouble finding a gig.

Man... Jamestown was a big miss on my end. They're a phenomenal group as is their old subsidiary Green Street Properties. I don't know the Tishman guys, but I mean it's Tishman so you can't miss there. They've had some construction issues on their Three Alliance Center project, but great group. Not sure how much more they will be developing in Atlanta in the near future though.

Count_Chocula 's 2015 list is still very solid. A couple of more recent additions:

New City Properties South City Partners CIM Group KDC Third & Urban

Commercial Real Estate Developer
