RE development/acquisitions associate post MBA FT/PT and hours

Does going MBA full time as opposed to part time matter at much for a career changer when recruiting for post MBA associate roles as it does for IB? It sounds like a full time MBA is the only way to career change in to IB (I do understand there are unique circumstances where part time folks can overcome this)

Also curious what the hours are like? I feel like I have read a few dated post that say 60-80 hrs/wk. That seems a bit high to what I'd expect, but I am absolutely looking to become more educated on the topic. Thinking of Hines and the like.

I’m an associate at a dev shop that splits the PM & Deal roles into two tracks. Can only speak to deal track with much confidence.

Typical hours for juniors looks something like 50-55 per week for us, with some weeks getting over 60 including weekend hours. Also occasionally have the odd 40 hour or less week if really slow. My impression is we are a little on the higher side for hours in the Dev world
