RE Roles After IB?

Finishing up my first year in IB and have been looking into a less conventional exit into real estate from a non-RE IB group with either 1-2 years in IB. I have some experience in REIT investing and REPE in college but not full-time - other than REPE, are there other roles that would be open for someone with a banking background and would I get any credit for IB or would I start from the analyst 1 equivalent in a RE role? Curious about comp expectations too in NYC across different RE roles. I've seen some relatively low comp numbers for junior roles on here albeit in lower cost of living areas so wanting to set realistic expectations.
