Real Estate Case Study Interview

Hello all,

I have a real estate case study interview for a company and wanted to gather any advice from this community.  The case study involves an excel document with two tabs.  One tab 5 questions and one tab with 12 months of raw data for 50 different properties.  The goal is to answer the 5 questions (I do not know what they are) as well as create a Profit and Loss Statement for the whole portfolio.  However, the interviewer stated that they do not want me using Sort and Filter, Vlookups, or Pivot Tables.  How should I go about organizing the raw data?  What other formulas and functions would be helpful? I appreciate anyone that has any advice.
