Real Estate Interest

I am a first year student at Babson college and I would like to know more about the real estate field. I have been looking for careers in the finance field that do not have as much number crunching and came up on Real Estate Private Equity. How can I break into this field? What books can I read to understand it better? are there any other careers I should consider? I want a career with a high earning potential as well as a relatively high starting salary. Are there any iconic people I should research and follow? Please help me navigate through this.

Real Estate is part marketing, part sales, part entrepreneurship, and a large part customer service. So think through each of these and make sure you are willing to do all of them.

You can also speak to real estate professionals and ask them about pros and cons of the job.  They will also recommend you what books you should read in order to get a better understanding of real estate industry.

Blogs can be an amazing source of information as well.
