Curious how others perceive the current real estate job market? Little surprised to find I'm getting less interviews and looks with 2 yrs of experience than when I was in my senior year of college with 0 experience. Would love to hear how the market is treating others.

Just landed a job with 0 experience. Had a tough time honestly, wound up getting a couple offers but that was after 4-6 months of hustling and networking like crazy.
I think it's very hot right now. I have about 5 years of experience and have been tempted multiple times over the past 6 months with various opportunities.
I have 3.5 years experience and have currently been looking for about a year now.
Ideally looking to transition into Acq/AM/or Dev but I am now also focusing on Capital Markets roles and possibly getting in as an Analyst with a good brokerage shop. I’ve even contemplated other locations other than NYC area. It’s incredibly competitive right now.
3 years experience too also thinking about jumping to a brokerage shop as an analyst on IS or CM. Feels like a really good place to be right now plus the experience on the CM side is awesome

I just got back into the job market. I have gotten some interest and have some interviews lined up. It seems fine to me. FWIW, I have good experience.
same as amnat. it was dead for the majority of the past year, but have been getting looks in the past two months from very reputable companies, mainly thru headhunters
Seems like a lot of stuff but its a lot of crappy stuff not worth applying to IMO
Market was very soft in 2018.
Beginning of 2019 has been seen a lot of roles created / firms expanding.
There are a few senior level acquisitions roles at good shops out there in major markets, which rarely (if ever) come up. Echoing what someone else said, through headhunters.
